U19 and U23 World Championships 2025 in Trakai and Poznan

16 Hamburg Rowers Boat Coaches at the U19 and U23 World Championships

With the nomination for the U19 World Championships in Trakai and the U23 World Championships in Poznan, the intensive preparation in Berlin and Ratzeburg for this year’s World Championships began for 16 rowers and coaches from Hamburg.

At the U23 World Championships in Poznan, a total of 10 medals were won, including 4 silver and 6 bronze. In Trakai, the German U19 team won 6 medals, including 2 gold and 4 bronze.

Medals with Hamburg rowers in the boat were won at the U23 World Championships by Leo Rosenquist and partner in the 2- (silver), as well as at the U19 World Championships by Oskar Müller and partners in the 4x (gold) and Maximilian Gillmann and partners in the 8+ (bronze).

“The German U19 and U23 national teams impressed with a strong team performance – they were great competitions!

The results also underscore the importance of our successful youth development work in the states and clubs. It is a very good basis for further success on the big international competition stage. Congratulations to the team, coaches, and support staff – well done.”

said Andreas Döpper, AAC/NRB Board Member, who was present in Poznan and Trakai as Chairman of the Council of States and a member of the DRV Presidium.
