Dear rowing enthusiasts,
We cordially invite you to the 12th Elbinsel Marathon on September 5, 2026!
This year, you’ll get your fill of rowing on the long-distance route from Harburg to Geesthacht. Unfortunately, because the Reiherstieg Lock is currently closed, we won’t be able to pass through the Elbe island. The rowing route is therefore as follows:
- Start at the Süderelbe Rowing Club (FKM 614.5) at 8:30 a.m. as the tide comes in
- Break at the “Stover Elbdeich 5” beach (FKM 586.5) to wait for the tide to turn
- Return trip from the Stover Elbe levee starting at 11:30 a.m. to RC Süderelbe as the tide goes out.
The total distance is 56 km.
