67th German Rowing Congress in Halle an Der Saale

The 67th German Rowing Congress took place in Halle an der Saale on October 26, 2024. It was festively opened the evening before with greetings from politicians, honors for special merits, and an Olympians’ talk round ‘Paris 2024’. The general meeting started punctually on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM and lasted approximately 9 hours, with a suitably packed agenda and good discussions. In addition to the report on the Presidium’s work and discussion, topics included membership fee adjustments, finances, budgets, constitutional amendments, elections, and much more. In between, there was also time to meet with our delegates from Hamburg in front of the Friedrich Händel Hall in wonderful autumn weather and exchange ideas.

Already the day before, the DRV State Council convened and re-elected the chairman and deputy chairman from its ranks. Our chairman of the AAC/NRB State Rowing Association Hamburg, Andreas Döpper, stood for election and was unanimously elected as the new chairman and thus successor to Steffen Planer in the State Council, making him also a member of the DRV Presidium. The newly elected representative Holger Hoffmann, succeeding Redelf Janßen, comes from the State Rowing Association Saxony.
