A great day for rowing in Hamburg.
Senator Grote of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Ms. Burth (BMI), Mr. Kerkhoff (GMH), Lars Koltermann, and Tim Ole Naske spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony in Allermöhe.
Andreas Döpper opened the groundbreaking ceremony in Allermöhe, stating that this modern extension will create ideal training conditions for our elite athletes.
Over the past 40 years since the initial groundbreaking, our sports infrastructure here has continuously grown. Many internationally successful rowers have found and continue to find excellent training conditions here, and we are all very proud of their achievements in recent years. Today, not only was the foundation stone laid for a new building, but also the foundation for success in elite rowing.
