Visible sign of quality, cohesion and the further development of our regatta location

Anyone out and about on the regatta course in Hamburg-Allermöhe these days will discover it for the first time: the new team clothing of the Hamburg regatta team.

What looks like a new shirt at first glance stands for much more. It is an expression of a development that the AAC/NRB Landesruderverband Hamburg has consistently driven forward in recent years: the claim to raise our regatta location to a new level not only in terms of sport, but also in terms of organization and infrastructure.

Regattas of this magnitude do not happen by themselves. Behind every event are countless hours of volunteer work – from preparing for the regatta to technology, safety and timekeeping to looking after athletes, coaches, clubs and guests. At our major regattas alone, more than 100 volunteers are regularly involved in ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

The new team clothing makes this commitment visible. It ensures recognition on the regatta site, strengthens the sense of community and at the same time underlines the professional standard with which we organize events in Hamburg.

This is not about self-promotion. It is about appreciation. Appreciation for the people who invest their free time, take on responsibility and ensure that Hamburg is one of the most important regatta locations in Germany today.

A lot has happened in Allermöhe over the past two years: the new national base, the establishment of the European Rowing Development Centre, modern livestream and communication structures, high-quality timekeeping, new medals, an expanded event concept and the continuous professionalization of our processes.

The new team clothing is therefore much more than just a new outfit. It stands for the people behind the scenes, for cohesion, for identification with the location and for the shared aspiration to make Hamburg’s regattas a little better year after year.
