On April 29/30, 2023, the mid-size and large boat assessment of the DRV A-national team took place on our regatta course in Hamburg-Allermöhe, with a view towards the European Championships. The women and men competed in the double sculls, lightweight double sculls, coxless four, quadruple sculls, and eight. Overall, the conditions were good; the sun shone from the Hamburg spring sky with a light tailwind, which strengthened on Saturday afternoon.

“It was great to experience the top athletes from the DRV team live here with us in Hamburg on the Dove Elbe before their season,” said Andreas Döpper, Chairman of the AAC/NRB State Rowing Association Hamburg.

For us, it was also a first test for the new regatta team on the board, including Cornelius Grajecki and Philip Schmolling, as well as the regatta committee and the volunteer helpers this season. At the same time, our volunteers had the exclusive opportunity on Saturday to interact with the Deutschlandachter and coach Sabine Tschäge in a “Meet & Greet with the Olympians and World Champions.”
