The Hamburg Senate has presented key guidelines for a possible Olympic bid. The focus is on a concept that is based on the city’s existing structures and aims to achieve long-term effects for Hamburg.
A combination of existing and temporary competition venues is planned. In particular, inner-city locations, water areas and green spaces are to be used as venues. In this context, Hamburg is positioning itself as a compact open-air arena with short distances between the venues.
Another focus is on mobility and accessibility. Innovative and barrier-free transportation solutions are planned to facilitate encounters and support a shared event experience.
