Dear rowers,
We rowers from the First Coastal Rowing Club Hamburg are organizing a capsize training on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the 3rd time in the Bäderland swimming pool Elbgaustraße 110, 22523 Hamburg.
We cordially invite all rowers from Hamburg and the surrounding area to attend (the contribution towards expenses, including admission, is 10 euros per person).
The capsize training is carried out in clean rowing clothes. Please bring your wetsuit (if you already have one). Please also bring your life jacket.
A life jacket is personal safety equipment. Everyone should have their own life jacket that fits well and that they maintain and clean themselves. During capsize training, you will learn how to use it in an emergency.
The capsize training is carried out in the coastal boat and practice skiff.
The aim is to learn how to get back into the rowing boat.
We look forward to a large number of participants.
Here you have the chance to practise an emergency in warm swimming pool water. (After all, emergencies are always practiced on cruise ships).
